WINSTED, Conn. (WFSB) – Bear sightings have been on the rise throughout Connecticut, particularly within the northwest.
In Canton, a bear was euthanized after breaking into a number of properties.
On Monday, a lady from Winsted discovered a bear inside her dwelling.
Shannon Davis says she got here dwelling and didn’t suspect something out of the odd. It wasn’t till she noticed her cat sitting exterior staring on the window that she thought one thing was improper.
“It was only a bizarre look on the cat and I didn’t discover the display screen was out and I noticed a shadow stroll by the window,” says Davis.
She says the bear broke into her home by means of the window and made its method to the kitchen.

She then ran to her neighbor and requested for his assist.
“He began banging on that door over there. The bear went in my room and climbed out my window,” Davis says.
The bear ended up making its approach out the again door. Davis says there wasn’t plenty of harm from this incident.
